This booklet is published by a group of Melbourne Christadelphian Sunday School Superintendents. The first edition was published sometime in the 1960s under the title Youth and Life. The original authors were Br David Goodman and the late Br Dave Walker. In preparing this new edition, I have omitted the sections on marriage and weddings because this is a large subject which is covered in detail elsewhere and because it may seem of little relevance to most teenagers. Some material has been added: the sections on prayer, Bible reading, conscience, television, videos and movies, drugs, coping with temptation and homosexuality are all new. There has also been some reordering of sections to help the message flow more naturally. Throughout, the language has been updated, the relevance of each paragraph has been carefully reviewed, and I have attempted to make it even more readable for today’s young people.

Perhaps the most obvious change is the layout. Thanks to Nathan Jurevicius for the fantastic graphics which make the booklet much more attractive, and I hope they encourage more young people to read it and consider carefully their life before God.

I would like to thank Simon Morgan for assistance with preparation of this booklet, and the Boronia and Ringwood Sunday Schools for their suggestions in updating this booklet. I haven’t followed every suggestion I received, and the responsibility for the final wording and content (and errors) rests with me.
